Memphis Native Tree Works (MNTW) is the wholesale native plant nursery and environmental initiative of The Works, Inc., dedicated to restoring native landscapes and advancing ecological resilience across the Mid-South. With two nurseries—one for native trees and one for wildflowers—we supply high-quality plants for public, private, and nonprofit projects, from large-scale reforestation to pollinator garden installations. Our work integrates community development with environmental stewardship, ensuring that every planting supports local biodiversity, improves neighborhood health, and strengthens green infrastructure.
Our Story
​Rooted in the community development mission of The Works, Inc., Memphis Native Tree Works began with a vision: to connect people, place, and ecology through native plants. Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted partner for conservation organizations, research institutions, and civic projects, collaborating on initiatives that range from habitat restoration to educational programming. With funding from partners like The Giving Grove, and support from local and regional donors, we’ve been able to maintain a robust plant inventory, expand our reach, and contribute to some of Memphis’s most impactful environmental projects. Our story is one of collaboration, regeneration, and a commitment to creating a healthier, greener Memphis for generations to come.
